What was new?

28th January 2005:  New stuff! All Save the Good is a story about Slytherins.

And a new page! Without popups!

19th December 2004:  Unexpectedly, an update. A Timely Inn, a Berserk story that was gone for a while but is back.

Page fiddled with and links added to various LJ snippets, including a new one, Marked, which is Hikaru no Go.

Still overrun with adds. Eiw. Apologies.

19th October 2003:  It's been so long! Here is some newness. School of Rings III . Yay, updated!

Become What You Must is a story about Nakago and "evil" Tamahome.

Fanart. *_* Vejita4eva did some incredible Nakago x Hotohori fanart for A World Without a Miko. My favourite is this one. *_*
      (shivers with goodness)
WWM is duly being worked on in v4e's honour.

23rd February 2003:  Unexpected newness! Killing Care, a Buffy: The Vampire Slayer story.

Another Gackt song translation, Nine Spiral.

      And recs!

22nd February 2003:  The infamous, pornographic Vanilla. (A Gackt song translation).

      15th February 2003
:  Gackt translations! Two song translations, OASIS and kimi no tame ni dekiru koto.

Also The Broken Window, part XI.

      Also, Happy Valentine's Day! ^_^
      (heartmark)

Here are some snippets from lj:
Hey Saionji and Drive (Shoujo Kakumei Utena)
Skip it and The fuck you want, Leonhart (FF7)
      Somewhat A Miss (Fushigi Yuugi)
      Shy (Gackt x Mana)
      Splinter (Yami no Matsuei)
      Puppy (Pet Shop of Horrors)
ore igai no tenshi wa aho da (Supersonic Angel Engine)
      Coma (Buffy: The Vampire Slayer)
      Blindside (X-Men movieverse)

      So many! @_@

2nd February 2003:  More high school AU @_@; School of Rings part II.

      The Crash: Iiiiiiiiiiiiya, I lost 200KB of A Last Time for Everything. That series is discontinued. ;_;

I lost old old bits of future Angstrom, and the last driving spark to finish that series.

I lost A World Without a Miko #3 BUT have started writing it again. That story will be updated, eventually. ^_^ (yakusoku desu!)

      12th January 2003The Broken Window, part X.

      Fragrance no. 15.

And, er, unbelievably, the beginning of a Lord of the Rings high school AU, School of Rings. (I would say, "this is for Jaana and torch," but I can't think of two less willing dedicatees).

      And recs!

1st January 2003:  A tiny update to usher in the new year.

(Another) Gackt song lyric translation ANOTHER WORLD.

      And recs!

And I have a working computer, so fic updates should follow soon. *_*

7th December 2002The Broken Window, part VIII and IX.

      26th November 2002:  No computer = no updates. -_-

I was given a livejournal, so I can write a (very) little at the internet cafe.

      Thank you S-sama. (heartmark)

Recs, one Harry Potter and some essays.

9th November 2002:  Millions of new recs!

4th November 2002:  Rika, Rika, Rika.   The Broken Window, part VII.

Also, recs! Gackt fanfic recs! *_*

30th October 2002:  More Shiiku-gakari Rika.   The Broken Window, parts IV, V and VI .

25th October 2002:  Lots of updates!  The Broken Window, parts II and III.

Another Gackt: 100 questions and answers translation. Er, however, I have only translated up to question sixty. I think Gackt was in a particularly weird mood when he answered these questions (even for him); there is so much cleverness, wordplay and trickery in his answers that the whole thing got too difficult for me. (I picked up on some of the word play, but I was often unsure if Gackt was being clever or just plain strange, esp. in the later questions, eg. Q95. "What is something you are collecting at the moment." "Ham."). I will return to this interview when my Japanese is a little better.

21st October 2002The Broken Window. Shiiku-gakari Rika is an incredible but relatively unknown manga series by Modoru Motoni. To get some idea of the story, you can find a review of the series here.

16th October 2002:  Visit the random anime pairings generator to have your mind melt down as some seme x uke staples that should be sacrosanct are-- messed with. I got hit with 1. Gravitation's Shuiichi (seme) to X's Fuuma (uke), which was only slightly more stunning than the idea of 2. Kamui (seme) to Seishirou (uke), and 3. Mahou Tsukaitai's Aburasubou [aka Aya] (seme) to Weiss Kreuz's Aya (uke) (nngh, both are called Aya, and both are voiced by Koyasu Takehito...).

      Also, recs!

10th October 2002:  I said the next update would be fanfic. It won't be. Last week my roommate dropped my laptop on the floor with a crash, and many years worth of writing disappeared forever.

Farewell and Adieu to you fair Spanish ladies.

Farewell and Adieu to you ladies of Rome.

29th September 2002:  Wai, I received several requests for Gackt magazine interview translations!  But, these are more difficult than lyric translations (because magazine articles do not have helpful furigana).  I started with something very easy, PatiPati Magazine's Gackt:  100 Questions and Answers, (October 2001).

(The next update will be fic).

      (yakusoku desu!)

22nd September 2002: Three new Gackt song translations, Mizérable, the adorable U+K, and Sayonara.  Also, what the heck, I translated one of the Malice Mizer songs with the  terrible lyrics, Brise.

30th August 2002:  Three new Gackt song translations, kono daremo inai heya de, 12gatsu no Love Song, and the pornographic Papa lapped a pap loppedRomanji versions of all translated songs will be posted soon (er, I hope).

25th August 2002:  Much newness.  A new translations page, because the j-rock lyric translations that I've read online have all been rather unsatisfying (especially when it comes to Gackt, whose greatest talent is as a lyricist).  Just three songs to start off with, Gackt's Freesia (the infamous "gay" song), Secret Garden (wai! my favourite ever song), and MIRROR

Notes will usually follow the song, to explain all the interesting things that are happening in the Japanese, and generally ignored in translations.

24th August 2002:  Fragrance no. 8.  (blush) This Gackt series was not, er, very good, according to my beta and numerous of my friends, so I re-wrote it a little and changed the focus.  And, um, this part has sex in it.   ^_^  (Better?)

    13th August 2002: Recs!

2nd August 2002: Fixed a broken link to A World Without a Miko #2.  Sankyu to the person who wrote to let me know.  ^_^

    Also, recs!

21st July 2002:  Floating in Glass parts XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV and the epilogue.  This series is now finished! (And there was much rejoicing).

    Also, recs!

20th July 2002:  Recently, many people have asked me what to expect (and when to expect it).  (squirming)

(And I wrote something about what to expect, but I just deleted it because things aren't going to plan at all).  >_<

13th July 2002: Shalle a la rilla. Domoto Kyoudai (Domoto Brothers)is a wildly popular music show in which Kinki Kids (that is, Tsuyoshi Domoto and Kouichi Domoto, who share a surname but are not related) and the "Domoto Band" sit around, play music and chat with a  weekly guest.  As unlikely as it sounds, the Domoto Band also includes Gackt (as the pianist).  Many of Gackt's fans have been horrified by this association (Gackt is hanging out with Kinki Kids?!), but after a year of watching their show, well, Tsuyoshi and Kouichi have really grown on me.  ^_^

Even if you hate Kinki Kids, please do try this story.  ^_^

10th July 2002: Ooops!  The old, old email address on this page didn't work.  The new address is supacat_@hotmail.com if you would like to write to me.

The link for the due'le quartz story Southbound was broken, but it's all fixed now.  ^_^

7th July 2002:  Unexpectedly, Tekken fic.  Warehouse.  A (very) short Jin & Hwoarang story.

    Also, recs!

6th July 2002:  Spring cleaning stuff.  Completely changed the completely inaccurate autobiographical page.

23rd June 2002: Southbound, a due'le quartz story.  Thanks to Jaana, who shamelessly dictated the plot prototype (plototype?) to me while we were wedged together on the packed JR Yamanote Line.

Fragrance no. 9, a continuation of the Gackt AU storyline.

Floating in Glass part X.  Almost there.

25th March 2002: Floating in Glass parts VIII & IX.  Feelin' Gackty?  (YaY! Me too. ^_^)

17th March 2002: A Last Time for Everything, chapter three.

(Sweatdrop! I just realized that I have 3 series in progress, 4 if you include Fragrance, 5 if you include Angstrom).

Baka neko baka neko baka neko...

9th March 2002: Floating in Glass part VII.  Gackt.  *heartmark*

22nd February 2002: Wow, it seems like when the story bits are short, I'm prolific. ^_^ Floating in Glass part IV, V & VI.

21st February 2002:  Did somebody say Gackt?  (Hey you, sitting there at the computer, did you say it?) Fragrance no. 20.

18th February 2002: A World Without a Miko #2.  If I didn't finally write this, there are some people who would come to Japan and kill me. ^_^

Thank you, thank you, Xena, Nikalashi, Jaana, Meg, Jane and others, without your consistant threats-- um, I mean, support, I would not have returned to this difficult story.  ^_^

Meanwhile, RPS is somehow a lot more difficult to write than ordinary slash, and my first attempt sucked.  But I'm getting it. Floating in Glass.  La, la, la, Gackt, Gackt, Gackt, la, la, la.

(Complete with Gackty picture, 'coz, well, you asked for a picture).  (Mmm.  Purty.)

28th January 2002:  Utena fic. Eleve.  A lot more surreal than my other two forays into Utenaverse, this story has many difficult things in it that I did my best to hold on to.

1st January 2002:  And Happy New Year! A Last Time for Everything, chapter two

(My New Year's resolution is:  Always walk through the door.  What's yours?)

27th December 2001:  Weiss Kreuz fic, Part and Whole.  It's short and it's, um, gen.  Ish.  It's got Aya in it.  Gomen, everyone.  It just happened to me.

26th December 2001:  Merry Christmas!  And welcome to the reason why I moved to Japan:  Gackt.  Set in the sleazy Hong Kong of Gackt's Another World video, the first of a series: Fragrance no. 5

A Last Time for Everything, chapter one.  Unbelievably, after all this time, the pairing is . . . C/P.

Wow, almost exactly a year since the last update!  (Calls into the lonely silence)  Anyone still with me?
