ANOTHER WORLD
Music and lyrics by Gackt C.
English translation by !Super Cat

A used-up Magazine; an untarnished spirit
A movie-length One Scene; relax, it's me

"Don't look away..." We're all we've got
Now say goodbye to the whole wide world
We're going to go as far as we can

Farther than anyone else
If it's a dream, don't wake up
If you turn towards the open sky
"You can see the another world."

A street lined with Mossgreen; a ruined spirit
A smashed up Taxi; you're beautiful

The words we shared were
"Don't cry, Darling,"
Pain is what holds us together
And we're going to go as far as we can

Show me your tender face
Don't you dare cry
Let me see you smile
"You don't need another words."

You were always there, by my side
That's why this pain is your fault

Farther than anyone else
If it's a dream, you won't wake up
If you turn towards the open sky . . .

"Hold me . . . "

Show me your tender face
Don't you dare cry
Don't you dare say goodbye

"You don't need another words."

"You can see the another world."

Translator's notes: Not much to say here. Because rhythm is important in this song, I cheated on the line anata nara anshin ("if it's you, [I can] relax"), and changed it to relax, it's me, which works in English without me having to insert words that break the rhythm. @_@

Further notes: This song is about going to the limits of friendship, pushing someone as far as they'll go--too far--further. I have heard it described as Gackt's joyride song, and someone said it celebrated friendship Thelma and Louise style. Which is a great description, as long as you remember that Thelma and Louise drove off the edge of a cliff.
